THROUGHOUT THE GALLATIN VALLEY, BUSINESSES ARE TUCKED AWAY IN OFF-THE-BEATEN PATH LOCATIONS, BUSINESSES YOU MAY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF. WHJ HAS DISCOVERED NICHE-MARKET COMPANIES AND GOTTEN TO KNOW THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS. NORTH OF THE BOZEMAN YELLOWSTONE AIRPORT, IN A BELGRADE INDUSTRIAL PARK, CLEAN BOZEMAN HAS A BASE OF OPERATIONS WHERE ZACH LEIPHEIMER ASSEMBLES AND DIRECTS CREWS WHO TRAVEL THE REGION AND KEEP OUR HOMES AND BUSINESSES IN PRISTINE CONDITION.

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

The main services we offer are private residential, commercial, and construction cleaning. Our secondary services are large-format housekeeping where we provide trained staff for hotel operations, offices, and projects including evening service and event staff.

What geographic area do you serve?

Most of our work is in Big Sky and Bozeman; however, we have ranches that we service a few times a month in Twin Bridges, Hamilton, Big Timber, and a few other remote places across Montana. We even have done work in Yellowstone National Park.

WHEN DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU WANTED TO GO INTO THIS FIELD AND WHAT MOTIVATED YOU?

I was dating a girl in 2020. She was working for a Bozeman company full-time and cleaning in the evenings… for a poorly run janitorial company.
I remember thinking it could be great to own an after-hours cleaning company. I also knew I could run a better business. However, after getting into the business, I found the real opportunity was during the daytime.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Building a strong staff and culture that rivals the best local companies.

“We finished 2024 with a record of well over one million square feet of construction cleaning completed.”

– ZACH LEIPHEIMER FOUNDER/OWNER CLEAN BOZEMAN

DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS; HOW DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS?

“Early and with both hands.” We thrive most when we are brought into a project early and have direct contact with the owner. Our work is intimate and when done right, is tailored to the end user. Construction is a good example. We want to know exact delivery dates, when the furniture will be installed, and even how many people will be staying in the home for the first night. If we are given that extra context, we are able to tailor the results.

For clients needing discretion, we do offer NDAs and assure their privacy.

WHAT OTHER SPECIALTIES DO YOU HAVE IN-HOUSE?

Personal shopping and chef support. Families will send us their errand lists or their grocery lists. We do the leg work and have their fridge stocked before their arrival. In addition, we work with executive chefs. Some of our team members really enjoy cutting carrots and pouring drinks for private events.

WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU THE PROUDEST?

Two milestones come to mind. First is the One & Only Moonlight Basin that was completed under Langlas and Associates. We are proud to have cleaned the majority of the resort. Second, we finished 2024 with a record of well over one million square feet of construction cleaning completed. This was from 27+ individual successful projects that were mostly private homes in Spanish Peaks and Moonlight Basin.

WHAT TRICKS OF THE TRADE HAVE YOU LEARNED OVER THE YEARS THAT YOU’D BE WILLING TO SHARE?

Vinegar for the most luxurious treatment for your bedding. Just wash them in vinegar. Laundry detergent is overrated.

THE BEST WAY TO COVER YOUR FIRE-PLACE IN LICHEN?

Here is the secret: Occasionally mist your fireplace with your favor-ite heavy beer of choice. The yeast encourages the lichen to thrive and grow. Of course you need a housekeeper to clean the mess up afterwards. This tip was originally taken from Jamie Daugaard at Centre Sky Architecture.

WHAT WORDS DO PEOPLE USE TO DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?

Thorough, high horse-power, and extreme reliability.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY?

Being invited into some of the most unique locations in Montana. Every day is truly different, and we never know what or who is right around the corner.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR LINE OF WORK?

I spend a lot of my free time taking my UTV on rides with friends and family. It’s one of Montana’s best experiences.

IF YOU COULD OWN ANY PIECE OF FINE ART,
WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I have not met him yet, but Michael Blessing. His work is incredible, and I get to view it in my clients’ homes weekly. His western paintings backlit with neon light are worth checking out.
