Elegant Kitchens Elevated Experience
by Danielle Vigueria
Kitchens are often referred to as the heart of the home—the center of daily family activities, an evening gathering spot to entertain friends, and the place where time is spent celebrating special occasions. With a 61-year history and showrooms throughout the country, Roth Living is dedicated to helping clients with luxury appliances create a kitchen space that is as beautiful as it is functional.

“The products we offer are lifestyle-driven, they incorporate form and function,” says Denise Knoblich, Vice President of Roth Living. “We don’t like to make our appliances prescriptive—a kitchen appliance upgrade doesn’t need to equal a refrigerator, dishwasher, and range. We ask questions to understand a consumer’s lifestyle. ‘Do you entertain? Do you have kids? What kinds of recipes do you like to cook? How often are you there?’ When we understand the client’s needs, we have so much more to offer. Our recommendations are around appliances that will enhance their ownership experience.”
With luxury brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, Asko, and Best, Roth Living provides best-in-class appliances for their clients. And with people spending more time in their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating and upgrading spaces to meet new needs has driven demand.
“Pro refrigeration is a frequent request in our mountain markets,” says Denise. “And integrating the commercial-style appliances with a mountain modern aesthetic is trending. Mountain architecture has evolved beyond the traditional rustic feel. People are not incorporating as many busy details as they have in the past; it has become far more minimalist.”
Although minimalism is trending, that doesn’t mean there are fewer decisions to be made when designing the perfect kitchen. Customization possibilities are almost endless—finishes, materials, dimensions, configurations. With so many choices and options, kitchen dreams can be realized with precision, but sometimes the process can feel overwhelming.
“In the markets we serve, the design community is incredibly talented. With these online resources and the help of our local dealers, people can create well-appointed spaces and have an elevated luxury experience without needing to be in a major metropolitan area.”

And Roth Living has made it easier for clients to build the luxury kitchens they desire. Roth Living has taken a leadership position when it comes to digital tools by creating a iOS app, which is available for use in select showrooms and to key builders, designers, and architects.
“With our app, we are able to show the entire breadth of our product lines. The app makes it easier to visualize the products in a space and see all of the customization possibilities. It has been a great success, and through the process we realized there was an appetite for a tool like this with our consumers as well,” Denise explains.
In response to the interest, Roth Living recently introduced inspiringdesign.com, a website that makes it simple for consumers to get informed about luxury appliance possibilities. The website allows individuals to explore and configure their visions for appliances. Users can review product details, specifications, and obtain an initial price quote.
“It’s a great way for people to research our products and understand appliance options,” says Denise. “It can help an individual create a suite of appliances that fits their needs, and it makes the selection process seamless. When a consumer is ready to purchase, we are able to direct them to a local authorized dealer to finalize their order. Our dealer network can help facilitate orders and their sales staffs have incredible institutional knowledge. They are valued business partners that provide our brands a competitive edge.”
The website can also serve as a powerful collaboration tool between a design team and a client. In a time of virtual consultations, a designer can show a client several curated options without the need to meet in person or rely on multiple websites or viewing windows. This is not only valuable in the time of COVID-19, but also very useful when working with clients on second homes who may live across the country.
“In the markets we serve, the design community is incredibly talented,” says Denise. “With these online resources and the help of our local dealers, people can create well-appointed spaces and have an elevated luxury experience without needing to be in a major metropolitan area.”
