Our doors compliment a wide variety of architectural styles and wood species, and our custom capabilities are without limit. As a custom manufacturer we are able to access and work with an enormous variety of wood species from the more traditional Maple, Cherry, White Oak, Knotty Alder and Pine to the highly coveted Mahogany, Walnut and reclaimed woods. While some varieties of wood are more readily available than others, reclaimed woods have become much more accessible and are worthy of consideration. Due to their natural distressing they add dimension, character and a sense of timelessness to a homes interior. After years of experience, we can skillfully guide our clients in the selection of wood species that are best suited for specific applications where such aspects as climate and sun exposure must be considered. Each project that Valley Door becomes involved in is separate unto itself and treated as such – we strive to create doors of architectural diversity. While we offer standard profiles Our standard profiles include: The Country Series, which European in origin, equally accents large raised panels or flat smooth panels. With soft curves and depth, the Country profile is truly ageless elegance. Classic in appearance, the Shaker Series is a return to a simpler time. Using a square edge, the Shaker profile displays simple functional taste. Modern lines and angles set the Southwest Series profile apart from all others. The sharp lines allow one to make a bold design statement. Our specialty doors are derived from all manner of contribution… a sketch or a photograph, designs brought to us from individual homeowners completing their own remodel, or from high-end architects dictating very specific designs for their clients. We also work with found architectural elements, from setting antique doors or panels into new frames to retrofitting aged doors with new hardware, as well as replicating Old World doors.
We exclusively represent Sun Valley Bronze in our Ketchum showroom; hardware that is as polished as it is rustic, innovative and without equal. We are located in a newly designed showroom in the Ketchum Trade Center located on Lewis Street in the Ketchum Industrial Center. Our showroom represents many sample doors from our various series, and portfolios of several custom doors are available for perusal. Owners Susie and Roger Bergdahl are always available to review your plans and offer suggestions based on their extensive knowledge.
