Velvære | A Mountain Community Where Health Is Wealth Partner Website

park city’s wellness-first mountain community

“We wanted to build a place where your home contributes to your health, your connections, your clarity, and your entire experience of living a full life.”

It’s that idea that spoke to the creation of Velvære. Across 60 acres of alpine terrain and with a Deer Valley chairlift located just 200 steps from the community Adventure Center, Velvære goes beyond a luxury real estate development; it’s a thoughtfully designed neighborhood that integrates beauty, functionality, and accessibility. This new community of 115 residences features 12 cabins starting in the mid-$4 million range, 68 paired homes priced from $5 million, and 35 estate lots beginning at $3 million.

With direct ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort’s East Village expansion, Velvære truly is the pinnacle of mountain living in Park City. The onsite Deer Valley chairlift offers residents effortless access to the resort’s newest terrain and year-round outdoor recreation straight from their backyards. This connection to world-class skiing in the winter and an extensive network of mountain biking and hiking trails in summer makes Velvaere a haven for those who seek a life immersed in the moun-tains—with outdoor adventure at their fingertips.

Within Velvære, the master plan orbits around two elements: adventure and longevity. Stunning homes are being built with views in mind, but with vitality at their core. From the start, the vision for Velvære was driven by two simple, essential questions: How does where we live impact how we live? What if where you lived could help you live better?

“We weren’t trying to create another high-end luxury home community. We wanted to design a community that puts people first, where human connection, health, and the outdoors are literally built in. We wanted to build a place where your home contributes to your health, your connections, your clarity, and your entire experience of living a full life.”

“We weren’t trying to create another high-end luxury home community,” states one of Velvære’s founding partners, Dayson Johnson, a third-generation contractor with a degree in urban planning who swapped a potential career in healthcare for building places that heal in more ways than one. “We wanted to design a community that puts people first, where human connection, health, and the outdoors are literally built in.” It is the first wellness-focused community of its kind, where every element has been curated to nurture where you live and how you live. “We wanted to build a place where your home contributes to your health, your connections, your clarity, and your entire experience of living a full life,” Johnson shares.

That philosophy shaped every decision, from its ski-in/ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort and its onsite wellness and adventure centers to the decision to partner with Fountain Life, a leader in proactive medical care. Every homeowner receives access to two Apex memberships, offering full-body scans and AI-based assessments to identify early signs of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and neurodegenerative conditions. It’s future-facing care that moves the conversation from reactive to preventive. And the science behind it speaks volumes.

Around the world, wellness resorts and their extended communities are having a moment, and Velvære set out to help define it. The result? A thoughtfully-designed neighborhood with two centers (adventure and wellness) that offer ski-out morning laps and personalized recovery routines (including red-light therapy, cryotherapy, meditation sessions, and hot/cold therapies) all within walking distance. The community was designed with wellness centers as its nucleus, fostering a culture that supports daily wellness—whether it’s taking a cold plunge before lunch or embracing a purpose-driven, time-rich lifestyle, all with the ultimate goal of promoting longevity.

“When kids witness their parents prioritizing wellness through movement, recovery, adventure, and preventive care, they’re more likely to model those behaviors and carry them into adulthood.”

–Dayson Johnson, Founding Partner, Velvære

Velvære’s design DNA is distinctly modern Scandinavian—the word velvære means ‘well-being’—however, it’s grounded in something timeless: stewardship. Homes are naturally built to LEED Silver standards, and the community is designed in line with WELL Building Standard, the world’s premier performance-based system focused on measuring design and operation features of the built environment that impact human health and well-being. Each structure considers its surroundings, prioritizing air, water, light, movement, and materials proven to enhance human health while preserving the forested alpine environment, among other ideals. Landscaping choices reduce evaporative water loss while recharging the reservoir system that borders the development. Trees are planted for privacy and performance.

From an architectural standpoint, flexibility reigns. Buyers may bring their own builders or choose from the stunning cabins and paired homes. Thanks to the ultimate collaboration between the founders, developers, construction company, and interior design services, including a direct sourcing company to control quality, buyers can literally move in with full drawers. “We’ve made it turnkey, but with the soul of something custom,” Johnson explains.

Velvære isn’t just a place to live—it’s a blueprint for living well, where intentional design, holistic wellness, and immersion in nature create an environment where that vision becomes reality.

Whether it’s morning laps on the ski hill, breathwork in the wellness center, or meals crafted with care, each choice becomes a living inheritance. And that may be the most enduring wealth of all.
