“Luxury with Wild Abandon”

In May 2019, Auberge Resorts Collection debuted The Lodge at Blue Sky, its first Utah property in the scenic Wasatch Range just outside of Park City. Located at Blue Sky Utah, a 3,500-acre ranch paradise created by local developer Mike Phillips, the newly built Lodge is a true year-round getaway, introducing guests and locals to a modern interpretation of western adventure. With panoramic views of dramatic peaks and mountain streams, for the first time, overnight guests can experience “Luxury with Wild Abandon,” indulging in locally inspired treatments at the spa, nourishing mountain cuisine, and a wide range of outdoor adventures.

Inspired by its surroundings, The Lodge at Blue Sky features 46 rooms and suites that take their cue from nature with understated elegance and organic architecture. Guests can choose from valley views and outdoor showers at Earth House, adult-only suites on the banks of Alexander Creek at one of the Creek Houses or, for those looking to stay in the heart of the resort or wanting a little more room to spread out, Sky Lodge offers soul-stirring views of the western sky, an infinity pool, wine room, and is home to the signature restaurant, Yuta.

As part of this new mountain escape, the signature restaurant Yuta is helmed by Executive Chef Galen Zammara and offers refined western cuisine in a rustic-contemporary indoor/outdoor dining room with breathtaking views of Lewis Peak. Made with sustainably sourced, storied ingredients, many of which are grown at Blue Sky’s onsite farm, Chef Zammara’s thoughtful menu items reflect The Lodge’s surroundings, with dishes such as Trout Piscator and Clay Pigeons. This rustic, multi-sensory experience is intensified with the use of a wood-burning grill, which adds a distinctive flavor to many of the dishes.

Along with Yuta, Blue Sky boasts several dining venues, including a variety of event spaces for both intimate meals and large celebrations, as well as a remote outpost saloon called The Tavern. Accessible by horseback riding, biking, hiking, snowshoe, or vehicle, The Tavern is located in a high-alpine field where guests can enjoy cowboy cauldron-style breakfast made over an open campfire in the summer and evening cocktails, refreshments, and snacks for those looking to wind down after an action-packed day. Separate from the resort but located on Blue Sky’s property is The Refectory at High West Distillery, where visitors can indulge in the distillery’s artisanal small-batch whiskey paired with rustic, western dishes and take part in tours and tastings, where they will gain first-hand knowledge of the whiskey-making process at Utah’s first legal distillery.

For guests and locals seeking restorative wellness, Edge Spa was built in celebration of nature and is situated on a precipice overlooking the ranch’s murmuring creek. Guests can bliss out with five treatment rooms, open-air infinity and soaking pools, and a range of indulgent and locally inspired treatments, as well as a variety of fitness training and mindful pursuits designed to focus on both physical and mental wellness, such as guided meditation and aerial and vinyasa yoga.

The Lodge at Blue Sky- Park City Patio Sunset, Hammock and Helicopter

One of the more unique offerings at The Lodge at Blue Sky is made possible by their helicopter partnership with Powderbird, providing access to 200,000 acres of pristine high-alpine terrain. Those who book one of these unforgettable helicopter experiences, such as heli-hiking or mountaintop yoga/mediation, will be picked up directly from Blue Sky and whisked away on a 10-minute flight to the Wasatch or Uintas mountain range. The helicopter will then drop guests off at Blue Sky’s mountaintop yurt for Après Yoga, where they can imbibe on a selection of restorative teas or a private whiskey tasting from High West Distillery.

Additional outdoor adventures include meaningful encounters with horses at Saving Gracie Equine Healing Foundation, horseback riding, championship-caliber shooting clays, cross-country skiing, fly fishing, and so much more. For the kiddos, The Lodge at Blue Sky offers a program called Little Vaqueros, where guests ages 4-12 can enjoy daily themed activities from horsemanship lessons and wildlife education to treasure hunts and farm days.

Whether seeking an active mountain adventure or a mindful, relaxing retreat, The Lodge at Blue Sky invites guests to experience a more meaningful understanding and connection with the land and wildlife of the Wasatch Range and the warm people who honor and invite guests to share in making memories of a lifetime.
