Find Your Wonder
by Bob Satmary
Where members own every shade of Park City.
“With our four club venues, our members get to enjoy every shade of Park City life. It’s all about spending time with family, maybe making some new friends, and experiencing nature in ways you and your family will never forget.”
–Mark Enderle, Storied Development, LLC Partner & Talisker Club Developer
Over the past couple of years, the world has changed in a way we’ve never seen. More than anything, it gave many of us a greater appreciation for connecting—to nature, to each other, and to the things we cherish most in our lives. Families from across the country went in search of a comforting refuge where all is right in the world, and many discovered it within a wide-open swath of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains at a place called Talisker Club. As Park City’s only four-club private home community, Talisker Club offers exclusive access to an unmatched collection of mountain, country club, Main Street, and backcountry destinations. It’s akin to an all-access pass in every season, made special by a close-knit membership of kindred spirits who treasure healthy family adventure.
“With our four club venues, our members get to enjoy every shade of Park City life,” says Mark Enderle, Storied Development, LLC partner and developer of Talisker Club. “It’s all about spending time with family, maybe making some new friends, and experiencing nature in ways you and your family will never forget.”
In the months and years ahead, the Talisker Club way of life never looked better. With enhanced experiences, new real estate opportunities, and a significant investment in a variety of exciting new amenities, many families are realizing that now is an opportune time to make this high-country haven a place they can call their very own.
TALISKER CLUB | TUHAYE
Family Fun in Every Season
Meaning “good land” in the language of the Ute Indians, Tuhaye is a land of family fun and adventure amidst an inspired setting of wild sagebrush, rocky outcrops, and trees that don colorful new wardrobes with the changing seasons. It’s all set against spectacular long-range views of Mount Timpanogos, Deer Valley’s ski runs, and the shimmering waters of the Jordanelle Reservoir—the only recreational lake in the Park City area.
But the big news around Tuhaye of late has been the official groundbreaking of its newest (and grandest) family-oriented amenity known as Base Camp. Designed to embrace the picturesque theatrics of the Wasatch Mountains, this 18,000-square-foot mountain-contemporary lodge will be a rustic landmark of reclaimed timber and locally quarried stone built to last. Planned to debut in summer 2023, the one-of-a-kind multi-use facility will offer casual dining, bowling, billiards, arcade games, Full Swing™ multisport simulators, and a convenient sundries market for dine-in and to-go culinary options as well as the finest wines, spirits, and brews. Base Camp’s Field House will be the place to shoot hoops, play pickleball, or take a spin class—while its imaginative Discovery Lab will offer a variety of STEAM-based activities for Talisker Club’s younger members that will stir curiosity, develop new skills, and build character. Adults will be able to play and explore too, with innovative programs designed just for them.
The future Base Camp is taking shape within an area of Tuhaye known as The Village. This bustling heart of the community is an inviting central hub of family-centric amenities and experiences including a Robert A.M. Stern-designed Clubhouse with casual and fine dining, two swimming pools, a café, Wildstar kids club, as well as an advanced fitness facility offering an ongoing schedule of appropriately challenging programs for all ages. The venue’s full-service spa epitomizes the peak of pampering with signature and specialized treatments—as well as luxuriant pools, steam, sauna, and hot tubs.
Coming off back-to-back record-setting sales years in 2020 and 2021, Tuhaye’s real estate offerings continue to experience strong interest from a diverse set of buyers throughout the U.S. Moondance and Whispering Hawk—a pair of enclaves featuring single-family homes in a mountain-contemporary style—both sold out last year. Also selling out was Dancing Sun, a limited collection of 130 custom homesites mingling with 70 acres of natural, high-country open space.
Real estate opportunities still available at Tuhaye (at the time of this article’s printing) include Cougar Moon, an offering of 115 custom homesites averaging one acre in size, and surrounded by 100+ acres of pristine open space. Cougar Moon is set before epic south-facing views—from Mount Timpanogos, the Uinta Mountains and Deer Valley to the shimmering waters of the Jordanelle Reservoir. A soon-to-be-released collection of homesites called Painted Bluff will be part of the last-ever offering of homesites in all of Talisker Club. Featuring coveted locations set before stunning views, the limited number of premium homesites represents one’s final opportunity to acquire a blank canvas for a mountain dream home deep within the natural wonders of the Wasatch.
The most defining attribute of Tuhaye is its unique offering of world-class golf that is geared for family enjoyment.
Designed by Masters and British Open champion Mark O’Meara, the 18-hole championship golf course is a fun and challenging layout set on the undulating hills of a high-mountain plateau. With seven sets of tees playing from 5,100 to 7,800 yards, the course gives players of every caliber many options to fit their game, and long hitters can go even longer since the ball travels farther in the thin mountain air.
When the course opened in 2002, it debuted as one of Golf Digest’s Top 10 Best New Courses in America. But the most recent praise for the high-country gem is even more impressive: Golfweek named it the #1 course in Utah. O’Meara humbly credits the land itself as a co-recipient of the accolade. “I truly believe we have the best piece of property, and one with an incredible backdrop,” he says. “We’ve got tremendous views of the Timpanogos Mountains, and when standing on the tees of a number of holes, the panoramas of Deer Valley are simply unrivaled.”
A number of golf enhancement projects have recently been completed, including driving range improvements and changes to a pair of holes, which O’Meara says will make for more enjoyable play while still maintaining their challenging nature.
Scheduled to open in summer 2023 is a new short course, a casual 9-hole layout designed by Mark O’Meara and Beau Welling, the lead architect on Tiger Woods’ courses at Payne’s Valley at Big Cedar Lodge and Bluejack National. Featuring approachable par-3 holes ranging from 70 to 150 yards each, the new course will be ideal for family outings and honing one’s short game.
Regarding the all-important topic of lowering one’s handicap, the Tuhaye course has plenty in its bag to help—everything from state-of-the-art practice facilities and a robust offering of classes and clinics, to playing lessons with pros designed to help players transfer their skills to the course.
“I truly believe we have the best piece of property, and one with an incredible backdrop. We’ve got tremendous views of the Timpanogos Mountains, and when standing on the tees of a number of holes, the panoramas of Deer Valley are simply unrivaled.”
–Mark O’Meara, Masters and British Open champion
In addition, since one is never too young to play, Talisker Club’s Junior Golf program is exceptional. “We believe few things in life are more rewarding than playing golf alongside your children…and watching them fall in love with the game,” says Thomas Barksdale, Tuhaye’s Director of Golf. “Whether it’s participating in our Junior Golf Camps or competing on our Junior Golf Team, our programs for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 offer fun and effective ways to get kids learning, growing and scoring…all while teaching integrity and good sportsmanship along the way.”
Although private golf is a big part of Tuhaye life, it is by no means the only form of outdoor recreation. Tuhaye has nearly 30 miles of trails criss-crossing its natural landscape, offering all kinds of summertime adventures—everything from relaxed, meandering hikes to high-adrenaline downhill mountain bike runs through tight switchbacks. To cool off, Talisker Club is the only private community in Park City to offer access to the nearby Jordanelle Reservoir. Wakesurfing for all ages is the hands-down favorite activity, as member families traverse the waters on the club’s Super Air Nautique Wake Boat.
TALISKER CLUB | EMPIRE PASS
The Ski-In, Ski-Out Life
A few scenic ski runs below Flagstaff Mountain is where you’ll find Talisker Club – Empire Pass. Anchored by The Tower clubhouse, the venue is the only ski-in, ski-out private club on the mountain at Empire Pass in Deer Valley® Resort. For the time being, with the recent sellout of The Residences at The Tower and Moonshadow custom homesites, no real estate opportunities are currently available.
A spirited attitude of fun and vitality permeates every square foot of the majestic Arts & Crafts-inspired clubhouse, a grand space offering a full-service spa, fitness center, an outdoor terrace with a pool, hot tub, and gathering spots, as well as an après ski area and ski beach. With the clubhouse’s dining service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, life here is a communal experience founded on friendship, camaraderie, and anticipation of the next great adventure in every season. In summer, members hop on the club’s Rossignol mountain bikes for family spins. In winter, they simply head outside the clubhouse’s back door, where the Silver Strike Express lift quickly whisks them up the mountain to legendary slopes.
Several recent enhancements to the club have been very well received. The Spa at The Tower has opened, a newly enhanced venue offering a new level of luxury and pampering on the mountain. There’s also an all-new Wildstar kids club with the latest games, puzzles, technology, and more. With this kid-centric amenity, as well as the even bigger one at Tuhaye, it’s apparent that Talisker Club is intent on providing plenty of opportunities for its younger members to have all sorts of fun. In fact, the kid-only adventures are nearly limitless. Imagine everything from hiking, mountain biking, swimming, skiing, snowtubing, and ice-skating to bowling, zoo visits, and other specialized field trips.
TALISKER CLUB | MAIN STREET
Your Private Place in Town
Unlike other private-home club communities in the area, Talisker Club offers an unforgettable venue right on Main Street. “It has always been important for us to give our members the complete (and quintessential) Park City experience,” says Jeff Butterworth, President of Storied Deer Valley, LLC. “And that means the enjoyment of urban wonders as well as natural ones.”
Housed in a historic downtown building on one of America’s most famous mountain streets, Talisker Club – Main Street has become one of the most favorite perks of membership. The venue includes Courchevel Bistro, a CNN Travel and Wine Spectator award-winning restaurant that serves artful French-European cuisine crafted with inventive flair and only the freshest seasonal ingredients from local purveyors. And naturally, club members can take advantage of special privileges and events.
Just downstairs is a members-only private lounge with ski and snowboard storage, a bar, and outdoor patio. It’s the ideal place for members to gather and relax while they shop Main Street’s boutiques and galleries, or attend all manner of events such as the Sundance Film Festival, or start or end their Park City Mountain adventures with easy access to the nearby Town Lift.
“It has always been important for us to give our members the complete (and quintessential) Park City experience, And that means the enjoyment of urban wonders as well as natural ones.”

TALISKER CLUB | OUTPOST
Welcome to The Wild Side
The Utah backcountry can be blissful, especially at Talisker Club – Outpost, a private venue nestled amidst a high-mountain meadow that offers a huge variety of all-season experiences. “If you want to completely unplug from the world for a while,” says Enderle, “this is the place.” Following an extensive refresh, the amenity now features a larger outdoor deck and a new yurt for private dining orchestrated by the club’s chefs.
In snow season, members arrive at The Outpost via snowmobile or snowcat (the only way up in winter). Once there, they can trod off on a snowshoe adventure, take a thrilling ride down the infamous Tubing Hill, or simply relax and make s’mores around a roaring fire while counting the stars. Summer activities are different yet just as fun: everything from hiking and horseback riding to archery and hatchet throwing. To immerse even deeper into the wilds, just beyond The Outpost is boundless wilderness where member families can forge a personal connection with nature in her purest form.
“If you want to completely unplug from the world for a while, this is the place.”
