Decorative Tile Traditions Return
with Inside Out Architecturals

The last few years have brought the world to view things differently. In many ways, this period has brought more of our attention to the importance of comfort, safety, and functionality in our own personal spaces. There were new challenges to the way we lived when we added working remotely more prominently within our own dwellings. It became essential to find ways to creatively isolate office spaces from general living spaces to optimize concentration. Our homes had to provide interesting sharable backdrops for conference calls while still comforting and supporting us all.
The desire to feel at home and safe is a basic need; however, once those needs are satisfied, we find ourselves looking for ways to uniquely personalize and beautify our spaces. As we re-evaluated our personal spaces, we navigated through daunting times and learned how valuable a refresh with brighter and happier surroundings is to all aspects of our lives. Inside Out Architecturals provides the resources to assist in finding creative options to upgrade homes to new functional standards and enjoyable surroundings.

For centuries, builders and architects have used architectural elements to set their creations apart. Those who are successful dare to use elements differently, creating new standards and opening the door for further evolution.
We are fortunate to live in a time when technology and creativity merge to create more comfortable, functional, and creative spaces. Inside Out Architecturals provides a variety of materials to create a custom environment for every individual.
Leah Wynn, owner of Inside Out Architecturals, developed an appetite for decorative and historical tile in college while conducting research for a fireplace and tile company. This research stimulated her desire to open a store in Utah where others could experience such unique details and component parts of architectural design.
Representing over 50 unique decorative tile lines, IOA has a collection of the most intriguing tile options: from one-of-a-kind stones and large-format glass to the greatest of traditional flooring and historical ornamentals used for their charm throughout the years. The company carries the handiwork of today’s artisans in stone, metal tile, glass, and dimensional tile that are best described as “art.”
Tile Trends
Curvylicious…Circular shapes, curved lines, arches, and rounded edges are adding softness and grabbing attention in tile and architectural areas where tile is featured.
All is One…..We are finding tiered monochromatic palettes featuring slightly different shades of one color while textures and shapes create a visually interesting space, generating a peaceful atmosphere.
Terra Cotta…Terra Cotta Tiles are adding spectacular natural vibes and organic textures to all tile spaces.
Exterior Tile…Innovative technology expands ever further the use of tile in colorful glazes that can be used on exteriors in every climate.
Handmade is Best……The more unique and inimitable the tile, the better. Raw yet refined design and décor is coming back around. Exquisite craft and vision is always covetable in design.
