What products and services do you offer?
Wright’s Furniture represents hundreds of manufacturers from around the world. Our staff is prepared to assist a designer find the furnishings, art, and accents needed to further the design concept, and we have in-house professional designers who at no additional cost will assist people who haven’t retained a designer.
What geographic area do you serve?
Our base is the Whitefish store, and we serve homes throughout the Flathead Valley and extend to the Pacific Northwest, including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming and into Canada. Part of our out-of-state interest may be in part because we have no state sales tax here.
Do you have any special products that are especially fine or unusual product lines?
One of our specialties is the group of artists and craftspeople we represent. It is a good location to find unusual and one of a kind furnishings and art.
Do you provide delivery, installation, or service?
We have a professional delivery and installation staff, and we offer a full service department with highly trained personnel. We are committed to customer satisfaction and to serving as a local business that meets all our customers’ needs, and these are key services to reach that goal.
In this age of big box stores and the Internet, how does a local business like yours compete?
That goes back to our commitment to customer satisfaction. We care that people find what they are looking for and that they are happy with the product. Everyone wants a fair price, and we know they are shopping for the best price. We have a program where we will match the price someone finds elsewhere. Of course, it should be comparable for the item and delivery, but yes, we will match the price and sometimes better it. The other advantage I feel we offer is ensuring satisfaction after delivery. Versus an online provider, we will double check dimensions to make certain items will fit the space. But, if after we deliver and set up furniture and a client lives with it for a day or two but isn’t happy with it, we will take it back and find them something else.
Do you have favorite non-profits or community groups that you are involved with?
Our support of the non-profit groups in this community is another thing that sets us apart as a local business; the community supports us, and we support the community. We recognize we are part of a whole and have a responsibility.
What is likely to be playing on your I-Pod?
Probably soul music like Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, or the Stylistics, because I find these artists of the ‘60s and ‘70s really enjoyed creating their music, and I feel it in the performance. There’s a passion and devotion toward what they do. I find it inspiring, and I try to infuse my work with a stronger commitment to clients and a greater professionalism. Doing one’s best with spirit and energy is definitely catching.
Wright’s Furniture has served Whitefish and the Flathead Valley for three generations, and Frank Wright and his wife Pam are the current owners of the family business. The store displays furniture settings and accents in a spacious showroom located in Whitefish.
