If you walk through the 2026 Central Oregon Builders Association Tour of Homes and look closely, you’ll notice a pattern emerge. Every home is different, shaped by its architect, builder, interior designer, its property, and its surroundings. Yet, one appliance supplier appears again and again: Johnson Brothers Appliances.

A Common Thread Through Central Oregon’s Tour Of Homes
“We’re immensely proud of that legacy and partnership with the COBA tour of homes. We take great pride in our work, and it’s a humbling experience to see our name represented in so many exceptionally well-crafted homes.”
-David Johnson, Owner, Johnson Brothers
“We’re immensely proud of that legacy and partnership with the COBA Tour of Homes,” says David Johnson, the third-generation owner of Johnson Brothers. “We take great pride in our work, and it’s a humbling experience to see our name represented in so many exception-ally well-crafted homes. With every year that passes, we feel the obligation to earn that trust and respect again and again.”
That kind of consistency is difficult to achieve, since excellence isn’t something a business stumbles upon year after year.
It’s earned through reliability, long-standing relationships, and a commitment to service that goes beyond the initial sale, whether with a first-time customer or a longtime builder.
For more than 76 years, Johnson Brothers has served Central Oregon by supplying more than 85 appliance brands across a range of price points. The company also provides a team of trained professionals to offer long-term service for the majority of the products it sells, allowing customers to trust that the Johnson Brothers team will still be there long after installation.
According to multiple trade partners, that service is what makes Johnson Brothers stand out. Rather than encouraging customers toward a specific product, the team seeks to understand each client’s needs to help make informed decisions.

“THEIR TEAM UNDERSTANDS THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BRANDS AND CAN EXPLAIN FEATURES IN A WAY THAT HELPS HOME-OWNERS MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS WITHOUT FEELING OVERWHELMED.“
That approach is reflected in this year’s Tour of Homes among select builders. For instance, Woodhill Homes has earned a reputation for maintaining high building standards and providing clients with localized, one-on-one attention. This year, they have multiple stops on the tour, including Stop No. 5 near Sisters.
The home utilizes stark shades of black, silver, and grey to create a modern look, accompanied by tall, almost floor-length windows on the second story that provide ample natural light. The home itself, in both color and shape, is almost reminiscent of those far-off, pointy peaks that jut above the tree line.
Inside, onlookers bustle about, admiring the clean, modern design.
The overall style of the home shines through the kitchen. Black cabinetry, white marble countertops, and stainless-steel appliances supplied by Johnson Brothers, including the oven, microwave, and refrigerator, create a cohesive aesthetic.

Woodhill Homes founder Jay Campbell says Johnson Brothers has become a dependable part of their extended team.
“They care about their reputation, they stand behind their work, and they genuinely want their customers to be successful. Their team understands the differences between brands and can explain features in a way that helps homeowners make informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed. As a builder, that’s incredibly valuable. It gives our clients confidence during the selection process and allows us to focus on building great homes, knowing they’re getting expert guidance on one of the most important finishing touches.”

“WHEN YOU’RE BUILDING HOMES AT THIS LEVEL, YOU NEED PARTNERS WHO ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE, DEPENDABLE, AND INVESTED IN HELPING HOMEOWNERS MAKE GREAT DECISIONS. THE STAFF AT JOHNSON BROTHERS EMBODIES ALL OF THESE TRAITS.“

That sentiment is also found among other builders, like Rick Hayes, the owner of Luxe Homes, who built a 2,900-square-foot, two-story farmhouse-style home on this year’s Tour of Homes, featuring matte white GE Cafe appliances.
“Building a high-end luxury custom home is a team effort,” he says. “We work with suppliers who understand design, communicate well, and help our clients through what can be an overwhelming number of selections. Johnson Brothers has consistently been that kind of partner.”

“When you’re building homes at this level, you need partners who are knowledgeable, dependable, and invested in helping homeowners make great decisions,” Hayes says. “The staff at Johnson Brothers embodies all of these traits.”

“WE OPENED 16 YEARS AGO, WE HAVE EXCLUSIVELY USED JOHNSON BROTHERS FOR APPLIANCES, AND WE PLAN ON CONTINUING TO WORK WITH THEM FOR AS LONG AS WE ARE IN BUSINESS.”

Structure Development NW owner Dan Goodrich, whose company has two homes on this year’s Tour—one midcentury-modern home featuring JennAir appliances and another craftsman-style home with Bosch appliances—says:
“A deep attention to detail is a core value that we share with Johnson Brothers,” Dan says. “Their team helps us find the perfect appliance fit. They have excellent employees who communicate directly with the homeowner, not just to get things set up, but to educate them on long-term use. Since we opened 16 years ago, we have exclusively used Johnson Brothers for appliances, and we plan on continuing to work with them for as long as we are in business.”

For Johnson, appliances may be the business, but relationships are what have sustained Johnson Brothers for generations, and hopefully, what will continue to carry the company into the fourth generation.
“We’re in our third generation, with eight kids waiting in the fourth,” he says. “We have plans to stay in Bend, and to grow as Bend grows, to make sure we can always maintain those personal connections and trust-worthy relationships for years to come.”
