The last few months have brought the world to view things differently. In many ways, this period has brought more of our attention to the importance of comfort, safety and functionality in our own personal spaces. There are new challenges with home life and adding work life more prominently within our own dwellings. Trying to find ways to creatively isolate office spaces from general living spaces to optimize concentration while still provide comfort for all is essential. There is also the challenge of providing spaces to encourage home study and be present as a parent to assist our children in their studies. The desire to feel at home and safe is a basic need but once those needs are satisfied, we find ourselves looking for ways to personalize and beautify our spaces uniquely. As we re-evaluate our personal spaces, it is good to know that there are resources out there to assist us in finding creative options to upgrade our homes to new functional standards and enjoyable surroundings. At Inside Out Architecturals, we look forward to assisting those who desire to make such improvements.
For centuries, builders and architects have used architectural elements to set their creations apart. Those who are successful dare to use elements differently, creating new standards and opening the door for further evolution. We are fortunate to live in a time when technology and creativity merge to create more comfortable, functional, and creative spaces. Inside Out Architecturals provides a variety of materials to create a custom environment for every individual.
Leah Wynn, owner of Inside Out Architecturals, developed an appetite for decorative and historical tile in college while conducting research for a fireplace and tile company. This research stimulated her desire to open a store in Utah where others could experience such unique details and component parts of architectural design.
Representing over 50 unique decorative tile lines, IOA has a collection of the most intriguing tile options: from one-of-a-kind stones and large-format glass to the greatest of traditional flooring and historical ornamentals used for their charm throughout the years. The company carries the handiwork of today’s artisans in metal tile, glass, and dimensional tile that are best described as “art.”
Tile Trends
All or Nothing Baby:
We are tiling it all, every wall, all the way up. More shine, more glam, more pattern. Taking it all the way!
Classic Blue Brings the Blues Surging Back:
It is Pantone’s color of the year. Blues will rule the year—cool blues and an array of warm and soothing shades. Thoughtful and meditative Classic Blue helps induce a gently calming effect and feelings of peace and tranquility to the human spirit.
Patterned Floors Surge On:
The thirst for pattern is ever-present in flooring. We continue to see subtle walls with a “wow” factor in many spaces, bringing the focus to the floor.
Geometric Patterns:
Geometric patterns are really big this year. But the shape that is showing its dominance is the triangle as it sits securely while pointing away from itself. What a masterful influential shape.
Mix and Match:
Pattern mixing has become a popular way to give a space added depth. Colors and many different patterns are being used together to create wild yet interesting spaces.
Gold Rush:
For centuries, when one chooses to add design interest to something, one uses gold. We are finding that refined gold and brass embellishments are giving modern and traditional spaces that extra something.
