Old-world craftsmanship is alive and well in Montana. At least it is at Centennial, a timber frame company practicing this traditional homebuilding art since 1988. Like days of yore, we still do much of our work by hand with a chisel and mallet – joining together great beams of timber (often reclaimed) that are beautifully endowed with history, character and charm.

Fields Construction Services, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Edwin Fields. Edwin’s building career began with a work study position at Webster College in St. Louis Mo. where he supervised the wood and metal shop in the College’s Art Department. Edwin found that he could combine his creativity and love of art into the construction process. He has hands-on experience in all phases of construction from demolition laborer, carpenters helper, carpenter, foreman, estimator/purchasing agent, project manager to Owner.

Fields upholds the belief that “form follows function,” and is committed to excellence in both design and execution. Professionalism combined with creativity is what FCS, Inc. offers their clients. The client is the most important ingredient for a successful project. Fields particularly appreciates clients who enjoy the construction process as well as the finished product.
